Whittaker’s Gin Clearly Sloe bottle

This is a really out there 42% ABV London dry gin. It starts its life off as Sloe berries steeped for a minimum of 6 months in a high ABV Original Gin. It is then decanted back into the still and laced with Liquorice Root and left for 24 hours to macerate before being redistilled. It is not a strong Juniper led gin as it is distilled twice and has similarities to grappa. It is a bit of a love/hate relationship with one but those who like it, LOVE IT which is why we keep making it! The flavours come in layers with this gin and has a very almost floral ending. The Liquorice is used as a sweetener more than a flavour as Liquorice is 50 times stronger on the tongue than sugar.

We would service this over ice and really the rest is up to you. We love it with the Double Dutch Cranberry Tonic and garnished with ruby red Cherries for sweetness and obviously the colour it turns the gin a lovely cherry red.

Distilled in limited batches and lovingly bottled and labelled by hand at our family home.
