This is a 48% ABV Old Tom style gin. We couldn’t resist making this one this year as we had an absolute glut of plums last summer growing here at the Distillery. It is made with a combination of our gins at a high ABV so you get lots of underlying subtle flavours cutting through the fruit and sugar. It is just great for those who aren’t whisky fans as a late night drink or in a hip flask anytime while you are out in the countryside and in need of a bit of something.
We would recommend you serve this neat with a cheese board - DELICIOUS!
Cocktail Suggestion - Plum Garden (courtesy of The General Tarleton in Ferrensby)
35ml Plummy Old Tom Gin
25ml Lemon juice
10ml Oregat Syrup
1 egg white
1 drop orange extract
1 drop Sycylian lemon extract
Method - Shake altogether without ice - add ice and shake again - pour with a double strainer into a sour glass and garnish with dried plum, dried lemon - DELICIOUS!!!
